About the Project

Globella Events UK was proud to deliver the three-day Seascape Conference as part of SO Festival 2025, a unique gathering of artists, environmentalists, community leaders, and cultural thinkers. The event marked both the official opening of the new Culture House in Skegness and a revival of the original SEAScape Conference (2009), building on the legacy of the European-funded Black/North SEAS project.

Impact

The event provided a platform to reflect on the evolving relationship between place, people, and creative response, particularly in coastal towns. By reviving the SEAScape concept, Magna Vitae was able to revisit key themes of cultural resilience, internationalism, and local engagement — all carefully facilitated through the conference’s structure and delivery.

The format of pairing speakers from different contexts allowed for rich, dynamic discussion and opened up new perspectives on shared challenges facing coastal communities. Globella Events UK ensured the experience was professional, welcoming, and impactful for all participants, creating space for deep reflection and action planning around international collaboration and place-based culture.

Testimonial

"It was really a pleasure working with Hannah at Globella, from the beginning to the end. Her attention to details, her flexibility that is essential to an artistic process. She took on new tasks when she saw what was needed. And sharing the few days in Skegness - the result - was simply fun.”

Chris Torch, Independent Cultural Consultant

''It was a real pleasure working with Hannah on the SEASCAPES Conference, hosted by SO Festival and organised by Globella. Hannah brought her signature blend of calm professionalism, logistical clarity, and creative thinking to every part of the process.

In the lead-up to the event, her support in liaising with artists, handling practicalities, and tackling the ever-changing logistics was invaluable. She was always quick to respond when things needed adjusting—offering smart solutions with a reassuring smile. During a high-pressure week, Hannah’s presence was a steadying force and an absolute ray of sunshine.

Her collaborative spirit and attention to detail helped create the kind of behind-the-scenes magic that made SEASCAPES feel seamless for everyone involved. Hannah has a real talent for making complex events feel effortless—supporting both people and ideas with clarity, care, and joy''
