The South & East Lincolnshire Cultural Conference

2024 Conference Organiser

Globella worked with the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership to organise and deliver the new South & East Lincolnshire Cultural Conference in May 2024

About The Project

The project involved the organisation of an all-day conference designed to share how great things happen when culture and the arts meet heritage.

Held on Wednesday 22nd May at the Blackfriars Theatre, Boston, Globella organised and delivered the one-day conference on behalf of The South and East Lincolnshire Council Partnerships, Arts Council funded National Portfolio Organisation (NPO), a £2million awarded projected funded by Arts Council England for 2023-26, to support arts, culture, heritage and creativity across Boston, East Lindsey and South Holland.

The theme of 2024’s conference was using culture and the arts to ignite heritage stories. The day was full of inspirational speakers, including updates on the NPO project being delivered by the South & East Lincolnshire Partnership, Transported and Magna Vitae and keynote speaker, The Projection Studio, shared how they have been involved in projects that have transformed a place by using creative ways to bring its heritage to life. Breakout sessions were held throughout the day including workshops and talks on cultural audits, access to funding, project planning, youth engagement and digital story telling.

As well as the project announcements and networking opportunities, the conference provided an opportunity for people to share their ideas and ambitions for local culture and heritage, and a marketplace will also be open for any organisations or individuals wishing to have a stand to promote their work.

We worked with the team at Buttercrumble and they were absolutely great!

The results speak for themselves and we are delighted to share a few of our favourites images created during the event as we discussed how great things happen when culture and the arts meet heritage throughout the day.

I wanted to personally congratulate you on a fantastic event. It all seemed to move very smoothly. It all moved so quickly and ended on a real high.  Thank you for a great day

Hannah at Globella has been incredible to work with throughout all stages of our event. She was involved from start to finish and facilitated the initial planning, assisted with the running of the day, and evaluated the event afterwards. She always responded quickly when we had queries. She’s a whizz at marketing and correspondence, and her organisational skills are second to none. It was clear from start to finish that she was invested beyond a professional level and truly wanted our event to go perfectly!
